Welcome to the 2023/2024 School Year!

We can't wait for a great year in this incredible new gym!

 

Here are a few reminders for the year:

 

- Please make sure students wear sneakers on PE days.

 

- We will be doing a variety of activities and sports throughout the year.

 

- For the month of September we have been doing spatial awareness games and locomotor movements (jump, hop, skip, run, etc.) for grades k-2.

 

- For the month of September we are doing cooperative games with grades 3-5. These games help increase the social aspect of working in teams and groups. These games help students collaborate and compromise with others to become successful.

 

- Going forward into October we will begin some soccer skills and games!

 

- Below you can see some 3rd grade students working together. The object of this game is to make it across the gym as a team successfully without anyone touching the floor.

 

- I will be putting out a newsletter about once a month depending on the units we are working on in PE and Health.

 

- We hope to have an amazing year and make great strides moving forward!
